I'm feeling the baby moving a lot these days. He or she is certainly making him/herself known! Bethany has really been "off" lately....just really disagreeable and hard to please...not really eating much and emotional too. I have no idea what it is but I sure hope that it isn't the start of the terrible twos....it sure is a challenge. Went to get routine blood etc. tests done today...the stuff they have you do when you are prego. No biggie. Went to the library today and didn't end up taking books out because took off on me and went right out the door. My friend Penny who happened to see her told her to STOP. What does Bethany do? Lays face down on the ground. At least she stopped and wasn't screaming. This is what her reactions are like lately when asked not to do something or being told "no". Just ate a frozen peach popsicle. Basically it is a can of frozen peaches in juice that has been put into a popsicle mold and frozen. Pretty tasty and refreshing. I recommend it...not too sweet either!
I have been itching to get back into doing Montessori lately. I know that this is my time to be a mom and raise my children but I still feel this urge to teach and get back into it. It's funny because when I think about teaching again (maybe I'll go back to work when my kids are all in school) I can only imagine myself teaching the Montessori way. I have no interest in going back into the public school system and battaling it out for a job there. It is so hard to be a teacher there these days and even harder to find a job unless you are super specialized or can teach highschool or have lots of seniority or are willing to go to the sticks. (This is for Canada anyway). I would not even want to teach in the public school system here....experiencing it for 2 terms was enough for me. There were good moments and good people that I was able to work with...but there is alot that goes on that I don't agree with. Enough said. So yeah, I feel this need to get back into Montessori. I wish that I knew other people here so that we could start our own little Montessori homeschool preschool or something. I think that I need to research it more. Anyway, these are just some thoughts that I have had. I definitely want to stay in touch with the Montessori community.
Better go and wash the wok.
