Still around.....

Wow, blogger has changed a lot since I last signed in...100 years ago or so! Where does the time go? Maybe I need to start writing again...you know....brush up on my archaic typing skills / get ideas out / whatever suits my fancy at the time.....I guess that right now is a start.

Bethany is having a playdate with Isabel. The thing I like about playdates on a Saturday (like today) is that at least one of my kids is occupied, doing something fun and I don't have to hear "I'm bored." Seriously, how can a 6 year old say that she is bored? I am sure I never said that when I was 6. (Actually, I'm pretty positive.....the angelic child that I was...:) ). Andrew took the boy out to get groceries so I have some free time to myself only with the occasional "Elicia" from Isabel now and then. Isabel is a really chatterbox. Her parents say that she is the talkative one in her family. I believe it because I've met her parents and her older brother Dylan and they are all relatively quiet people.

We have fish. Not the food (well, we do have fish to eat in the freezer), but as pets. We have Molly fish. Andrew got a free fish tank after helping someone move and he suggested that we get fish. The Molly fish are "live bearers" which is another reason why we chose them because we thought that it would be cool for them to have babies. We have one male and two females. So far, no babies but we haven't had them that long so we'll see. Personally, I am not a huge "fish as pets" person because I've had rotten luck with them in the past, but the kids were excited about the prospect of having a pet and because we rent, fish are the only pets that we can get away with. The kids like the fish but the are not as excited about them as Andrew had hoped (I think). They still want a dog (Bethany) and a cat (Jeremy) some day. Fortunately, Andrew is taking care of all of the water, feeding, filter etc. fish needs in agreeance with us getting the fish. This is a relief because it is actually pretty technical caring for tropical fish. I'm better with animals like cats and dogs.

Andrew has finished uni -yay!!!! He graduates in December. Now he is looking for a job, which is proving to be quite challenging. I think that we may have to move (again) in order for him to find a job. We'll seee what happens.
