Well, it's 6:15 pm and I just got home about 15 minutes ago. I was seriously out ALL day. This morning I went to an Emergency Preparedness presentation at church. It was really, really good and very informaticve. It was put on by NEPP (Neighborhood Emercgency Preparedness People) and the guy - DJ - who presented was quite dynamic and really into it. He told some good stories. Anyways, it made me want to prepare my 72 hour and GRAB and GO Kits even more....I've got to get on this. After we had a snack of some of the food that we would want to put in our 72 hour kits and then a member from another ward came and did a presentation on her 72 hour kit too. She had some good info too but she was less dynamic and by this time I was ready to get going with my many errands I had to do. By the way, she suggested that you put beans and peas and things that you can sprout in your 72 hour kit....who would have thunk?
My next Stop was TISOL to buy some more canned food and dry food for the cats because it is my turn. Seeings how we just had the emergency preparedness class I decided to buy some extra to have for the kitties in case we need to evacuate (yes this sounds silly but even DJ mentioned some of the items that you would want to have on hand for your pets Emergency kits and he is my new Emergency Preparedness hero so there! You better believe it I would go into my building to get Izzy and Archie!) . While I was there I almost bought a new climber scratch pad for the kitties. They would love it! It was just too much dough though so I settled on this fold up tunnel that they can run through. There are so many things that I'd like to buy them in that store....sigh....
Next stop was Office Depot to drop off my assignment that needs to be made into a book and then I went to McDs for a cone and to try the new Junior chicken wrap. Air Care was next ( passed with flying colours thankfully) and then BCAA to renew car insurance and then home. Phew....it was a busy day.
I woke up this morning with a sore throat and I have sneezed a bit today so I hope that this isn't a cold. I need my energy to do my last assignments for my ECE course.....if i get sick I'll barely make it.....here's hoping.
Tonight I'm going to watch the Pursuit of Happiness. I haven't seen it yet. Anyone want to come and join me?
