Razja

Last weekend Razja passed away. It was really, really sad. She was 18. I went with my mom to the vet to put her down and it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life. I cried and cried and cried. The next day I helped mom dig a hole in the year so that we could bury her. Simon came over and built a box for her and today mom phoned to tell me that she buried her with Mr. Foster's help.

Razja was a good cat. I still remember when we went to the SPCA and picked both her and Tunsi and took them home and mom helped us name them. They were only 4 months old I think but they were so cute. And the Tunsi got sick soon after and we took him back to the SPCA and then Sally went with mom to the SPCA and helped her pick out Pituki - this fiesty black cat who was a little older than Razja and a little bigger too. Laine was the one who named him Pituki and to this day I still don't know where or how she thought of that name but it suited him. Kyle used to call him "Pazooki" when he was little.

But Razja was a good cat. She was so cute and purry and would do the "robot purr" as Laine calls it. She used to sleep on my bed a lot when I still lived at home and I was kind of her favourite. I loved her so much.

It is sad to let people and animals that you love "go". It is so so hard. I was fortunate to have Razja. She brought a lot of joy and peace to my life.
