It's gone.

My beloved stereo is gone already. It only took a matter of hours. Sigh...I hope that whomever took it, enjoys it.
Rebecca comes tomorrow and so I am busy trying to tidy my room. I was going through some things to give to Laura for her to take to the thrift store and here are some rare, but memorable finds:

The heater that I found downstairs at Oma's place. It belonged to Uncle Simon and it must be from the 70s by the look of it. I took it to use to heat up my room when I lived at 49th and Tisdall with Laura Ann Clarke and Karey Leigh Van Wieren. It served me well. Now it is time to say adieu.

The CRIMPER. Mom bought this for Laine and I for Christmas one year because we so desparately wanted one. That year, Cas and Allyson and Kim and Veronica and Danielle spent Christmas with us and we crimped Kim's hair and she took one look in the mirroir and began to cry. I think that she was only about 3 or 4 years old then. If crimpers were still "in" I would use it but alas, we must all grow up sometime.
Sometimes I want to hold on to everything and keep the memories of them with me. I don't know if this is normal or not but it is just so hard to give things up at times. It really is.
