Slurpee

I realize I haven't been posting At ALL about my trip here in Canada but that will come. It surely will. I just want to say though - WHERE IS THE SUN? It is summer, yet the sun continues to hide away behind the clouds (for the most part). Very disappointing! Mr. Sun, Sun please shine down on me! I think I need to sing this a few times to bring him out.

I bought a slurpee last night and made the mistake of getting the medium instead of the small. "It is more worth my money to get the medium" I reasoned. Well....I took some sips and soon wished that I had bought the small. It was the coca-cola one that I got and it actually tasted pretty yuck. I had totally built up the slurpees in my mind and how great they were and was dying to have one now that I was back in Canada and then I tasted it and.....what a disappointment. I started to think "how could I ever think that these were good?". So, maybe I am too old for slurpees now. Maybe I am past the slurpee stage. Maybe I am too old for them now. Maybe this happened when I got married and had Bethany and started eating less sugar.........who knows? Or maybe it was just a bad flavoured slurpee. Either way, I'm not inclined to try another again for a long, long time..........sometimes growing old is an adjustment of many sorts.
